How do I get the c in Mc (like McDonald) to be high using microsoft word?

I think none of the previous solutions is what you really need. The superscript setting puts the 'c' above the 'M' itself. You can achieve a perfect result by selecting the letter 'c' ; go to Format -%26gt;Font (or you can just type Ctrl+D ), select the tab 'Character spacing' , use the 'Position' setting to Raise it by a suitable value.

Just type it in lower case!
Reply:ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS WRITE IT IN A DIFFERENT FONT X
Reply:Hit Ctrl+Shift+= and the it will go to superscript mode. Press it again to get out of it.
Reply:Highlight the C, go to font options, and go to superscript.
Reply:In 'style' somewhere, you can select up or down character placement, so that No can be arranged with the 'o' level with the top of the N to mean 'number', etc.
