How do i save info to a c.d insted of a floppy disk on microsoft word?

You have to have a cd burner, burning program, and a cdr. First save the document to your hard drive, then open up your burning program and click make a data disk, then browse for the file you have saved and then select the file you have just made on ms word and initiate teh burn process.

How do i save info to a c.d insted of a floppy disk on microsoft word?
1. Your computer needs to have a CDRW or DVDRW writer.

2. Your computer needs to have software to burn data to the CD/DVD, like Nero or Roxio. Or you could use the in-built Windows software. Just drag n drop the files onto the CD folder after you have inserted a blank media inside.

You will need to install them if you don't have them.

Works for me (most of the time, remember, you are working with Microsoft)
Reply:While these answers are technically correct, your question is slightly flawed. 1st get a flash drive. Use that. Second save your Word documents to your hard drive and then burn to CD. If the CD becomes lost or scratched you have a copy on the drive.

When you infect your hard or it crashes, you will have a copy on CD.

Having one copy of something is worthless.

When the save box comes up, there is a menu box in the upper left-hand corner. Click the arrow to open it and click the drive that is your CD burner containing a writeable CD.

Type a file name and click Save.
Reply:First, set your CD drive to record. Right click on the CD drive letter and scroll down to Properties %26gt; Recording tab %26gt; make sure "Enable CD recording on this drive" is checked. Next, save your Word document and close it. Now, drag and drop the Word document on to the CD burner drive icon. A new dialog window will appear click File %26gt; Copy Files to ....
Reply:When you click "save as" you get a choice "save in" select your CD drive
