The file C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ink?

Everytime i try to log in to my laptop a message pops p saying;

"The file C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ink

is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk "

I tried opening the folder and a box pops up saying

the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

What is it? and what do i do?

The file C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ink?
I'm not sure chkdsk will fix the problem, but here's how to run it:

In general, running chkdsk on C: is a little tricky, because it won't run (with XP and probably Vista) while the operating system is running. It has to be run just BEFORE the operating system starts up. Here's what to do:

1.While Windows is running, click the Start-%26gt;Run menu option.

2.Type

cmd

in the text box and press Enter.

3.A black "DOS box" will appear. Enter

chkdsk /f

and press Enter.

4.A message will come up telling you it can't run and asking if it should schedule a run on the next reboot. Answer yes.

5.Restart your machine. Chkdsk will run automatically.. It won't run on any subsequent boots unless it's interrupted this time.

Don't expect to be able to read the results. When it finishes, it continues with the boot in about five seconds.

Good luck.
