Microsoft excel help - can't type "(C)" because it's automatically converted?

Whenever I type "(C)", Excel automatically changes it to the copyright symbol, a small "c" within a circle. Is there a way to turn this annoying thing off?

Microsoft excel help - can't type "(C)" because it's automatically converted?
While in Excel, go to TOOLS %26gt; AUTO CORRECT OPTIONS.

Find the entry where it says replace (c) with the copyright symbol. Highlight it and delete it, or just change it to something else. That's it, you're done!
Reply:I don't know how you turn it off but what I do is type ( ) now use the cursor and put the C inside - it works.
